At Puppy Love, the health of you, your family, and your dog is of most importance. Our staff have been diligently monitoring CDC and local government guidelines for safety during the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to do so regularly. As such, some of our classes may be postponed or limited. We are offering online instruction, small in-person lessons and classes, and are available for private lessons and phone consults. We are always available for assistance – please contact us to let us know how we can help you and your dog!
Online Classes
This is a great new service we are offering as an alternative for those who prefer to be in the comfort of their home instead of attending in-person classes. This class instruction will cover ALL of the fun, effective material of many of our “best sellers” such as Puppy Kindergarten & Basic Obedience as well as NEW class options like Nosework and Agility… but held with our instructors online! If you feel that you or a family member may have health conditions that require additional precautions (see CDC information), online classes would be a safe alternative to in-person classes!

Resuming In-Person Classes
Per Governor Abbott, businesses across Texas have begun a gradual reopening process in a multi-phase process that began May 2020. We will continue to follow the most up-to-date recommendations for small businesses by local and national health departments. We are eager to continue in-person classes but of most importance to us is the safety and comfort of our students, instructors, and their family members.
**Update March 2021, Puppy Love Training will continue our policy to require facial coverings in our classroom for all clients unless the client requesting to decline the policy can provide 1) documentation of two COVID vaccinations or 2) documentation of a negative COVID test in the last week (and is without COVID symptoms).
Puppy Love will continue in-person training classes with additional infection control prevention methods to include:
- Decreasing in-person class size (maximum 5 dogs per class, up to 2 people per dog) for indoor classes
- Disinfecting our classroom before and after every class and having sanitizer available for use during our classes
- Adhering to current social distancing guidelines
- For indoor instruction, we will require all students to wear a facial covering over their nose and mouth (see CDC information) and maintain a 6ft distance between other students. We will provide masks for anyone that does not have their own.
- For outdoor instruction, we will require students to maintain a 6ft distance between others but wearing a facial covering will be optional for students. Instructors will use a facial covering if they are closely assisting each student.
- To ensure that all students, including those who may be hearing impaired, can adequately hear our instructors, our instructors have been given the option to remove their facial covering only temporarily while appropriately distanced greater than 6ft from all students. All instructors will be required to wear facial covering when within 6ft of students with no exceptions for indoor or outdoor classes.
- Anyone who is sick or has an ill family member will not be able to attend class. We believe it’s very important to still learn that class material and will work with you to create an alternative method of instruction by either postponed or online instruction.
- We will require all students to sign a liability waiver on the first class date.
Private Lessons/Phone Consults
Puppy Love instructors are always available for private lessons or phone consults. Please contact us for more information. As of now, we are offering online private lessons but tentatively starting June 1st, we will begin in-person private lessons. Masks will be required for both instructor and student when working within 6 feet of each other.
